the end table

I always sit on one end of our couch. My laptop is down on that end because there's an outlet there. Next to the couch is our giant dog crate. We put a board and tablecloth over it to make it a makeshift end table. Last night before bed I looked over at it and laughed. The items, not in any particular order were; a banana, magazine, book, baby monitor, camera, box of tissues, bowl, cup, 1 M&M and a small frying pan. It was just such an odd mish mash of items that it was comical, to sleep deprived me anyway :)

I can clearly remember the days when there would have been a lamp, perhaps a vase of flowers, and a wine glass or two. I like it this way better, though it probably would have been more funny with a wine glass....empty.
